Fall Trader Joe’s Finds: Honey Roasted Pumpkin Ravioli

Once fall comes around, I absolutely cannot wait to try fall everything. Something about the season just gives me such a cozy, comforted feeling. When those pumpkin spice drinks start to come out at coffee shops, I know that the season is upon us and I get so excited! I can finally start seeing fall posts come up on my feed. It’s so cliche, but I love buying fall candle scents. I have to get my fall candles and go to the Dollar Store to get some little pumpkins to set up in my apartment!

I love the fall Trader Joe’s items! They always come up with some unique stuff. I love to watch videos of what people recommend, and it’s really helpful when they try things out. So, I thought that I would do the same!

I bought the Honey Roasted Pumpkin Ravioli and thought I would try it out. I am a ravioli lover, but I usually go for cheese ravioli. I was a bit apprehensive because pumpkin in ravioli seems a little … interesting. I didn’t know if it was supposed to be sweet or if it would be more of a combination. I really appreciate the creativity!

Turns out, it was pretty fun and easy to cook, which was nice. I’m glad that I went ahead and gave it a try.

It only took a few minutes, but I honestly think I cooked them too long. I was interested to see what “cheesy pumpkin” filling meant.

Once they were done, I made a butter and garlic sauce and added a good amount of Parmesan and salt. I like a lot of salt! Upon biting into it, the pumpkin is pretty sweet and it doesn’t seem super cheesy. But it was a really good flavor and really rich. The pasta itself in the ravioli was pretty good. Overall, I would give it a 7/10. I just couldn’t eat a lot of it because of the boldness of the flavor. I am wondering if there was a different sauce I could’ve made, but the butter/salt was a good contrast to the sweetness.

I am definitely going to continue trying out more of their items, I love how much effort they put into thinking of these fall things!

Other Fall Trader Joe’s Items

If you go over and read this article from Trader Joe’s about their fall items, you can get some ideas of other fun foods to try to get in the spirit!

Here is a review of a few other items I have tasted:

  • Non-Dairy Pumpkin Oat Beverage – Fairly good for a dairy-free option, but the flavor isn’t super pumpkin-ish. I liked putting it in my coffee, just not too much!
  • Pumpkin Spice Rooibos Tea – I love this tea!! It is so awesome if you like tea with some pumpkin spice. It’s so cozy.
  • Pumpkin Bisque – I’ll have to pass on this one. It just gave me a weird vibe, and was kind of mushy.

From that list, I definitely want to taste Caramel Apple Mochi, Pumpkin Ice Cream, and Pumpkin Cream Cheese Spread. The ice cream looks so good, I am surprised I haven’t grabbed it yet! I wonder what new ideas they will have for next fall.

What items are you excited to try from Trader Joe’s?
